Walking
Drymen is a popular base for hill walkers as it is on the West Highland Way, this stretches from the edge of Glasgow to Fort William.
Cycling
There is a variety of cycle tracks in this area of different standards. Bikes can be hired from Loch Lomond Activities in Drymen [01360 660066].
Golf
We are fortunate to be on the door step of two local golf courses:
Strathendrick Golf Club - 9 hole golf course which looks down on the River Endrick.
Buchanan Castle Golf Club - 19 hole golf course with 9 hole putting area.
Shopping
Local shopping is good. Lomond Shores in Balloch [10 miles] has a Jenners Department Store with plenty of other shops as well as the new Aquarium great day out for the kids.
And so much more....
The local and surrounding area has a great variety of attractions including Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Blair Drummond Safari Park [30 mins away]. Rennie Macintosh Hill House in Helensburgh [20 miles away].
If your trip is planned during the summer months you can enjoy a traditional pipe band that plays in the village square, in front of the Winnock Hotel, every Thursday throughout July and August.
And if you plan to visit the surrounding areas during your stay, Drymen is on the main bus route between Glasgow City Centre and Stirling which incorporates a stop at Balloch, Loch Lomond.
